Astrology another way to understand illnessÂ

So often I have been confronted for using astrology in my practice, as I always ask the person or child for its date of birth.

Astrology is to this day a very controversial field for many people, for as many reasons as there are people.

Interestingly, astrology is part of our human culture as long as men can look back in history.

It appears as far back, in the bible,the old testament, as Abraham was a “star observer”,

Hippocrates was using astrology in his works and writings, Galileo galilei, Rabbi Akiva, the Rambam rabbi who was a great healer used astrology as well as Leonardo Da Vincci just to name a few.

So, why were so many philosophers, doctors, scientists of all ways interested in astrology and used it, and it’s unacceptable by so many people today in modern times?

 Maybe because the majority of the scapters simply never tried to understand and learn the subject. The fact is that Astrology is an empiric science based upon thousands of years of observation by all cultures world wide, documented and transferred throughout generations.

Is quantum physics accepted or understood by all scholars ? It takes  open mindedness to accept and study the NEW, Different, discoveries, unknown, untouchable. It’s not so easy to swipe away all we know based on what we learned from early on, but, if we want to keep our mind fresh and open, we better take the leap of faith and tap into the unknown and advanced knowledge.

There will always be the gap between the enthusiasts to learn the new and allow the old go. So it was with Homeopathy exactly as with Astrology. People don’t know so they don’t believe.

I live with such an individual and over 5 decades I hear the same mantra;

“If I can’t touch, see or smell, I don’t believe it.”

The opposite is my understanding of the world.

There is so much we still don’t know because we don’t see it, but with awareness and open consciousness we can know it is.

Homeopathy is the same way. We don’t see with our eyes how the body reacts to certain feelings, events, trauma, or any triggering agents, yet, we can observe, listen, connect the dots and come up with a way to heal.

We don’t use the microscope or surgery to look for the problem, we know the body tells it all. Watching, observing, listening, smelling…..is like reading an open book. 

But, if that’s not enough, we use Astrology. It helps to understand what the hidden fears, apprehensions or tendencies are, and combining that understanding with the material world presented in front of us, will lead to a better and shorter way to a successful healing venue.

For example: the sign Aries is the 1st sign in the zodiac.it starts the astrological year from the  last third of March through the last third of April. Aries is a go for it type, a relentless warrior,(army) courageous, strong and fearless. Its sensitivities are in the injuries, exhaustion from overdoing, sports accidents, anger, sudden spontaneous outbursts or thoughtless impulsive reactions. These are little informative points that can help understand the individual’s unease. It is a fire sign and tends to keep its youthfulness even at an advanced age.

Or let us take the Capricorn for example

Born in the last third of December until the last third of January.

I think of them as the father of the signs. Serious, responsible, overcoming obstacles, cold (winter and snow), conservative, hard working, CEO or high ranked positions, sensitive knees and prone to bone fractures. Does not show feelings, responsible father, not very into romantics. Spine sensitive. Prone to colds. Leader type in a serious and disciplining way. Head of corporation. Self respect and well  respected.

Pretty conventional in general.

If we look at these people’s charts we can identify where the conflicts are, because the sun sign is just one element in the cart next to 11 more signs, their placements and aspects between them.

We learn so much through astrology about the means to help people, that I think it is a vital tool in every natural health practitioner’s office.

This is the reason for me to incorporate astrology into my practice.
